Alexandra received her BA in Anthropology from Columbia University in 2012, a Graduate Certificate in Documentary Media Studies from The New School in 2015, and an MFA in Cinematography from Brooklyn College Barry R. Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema, Steiner Studios, in 2018. Prior to attending graduate school she worked in the film industry as a location scout, assistant  location manager, and producer’s assistant in New York City and Los Angeles. Her credits include director of photography for the documentary, “How the Air Feels," directed by Khaula Malik, which received a student award from the National Board of Review and premiered at AFI Docs in 2017. She was also selected to be the director of photography for a half hour comedy pilot for the Made in New York Series Competition entitled, “Maturity,” that aired on NYC Media in 2018. Most recently, she served as the director of photography for several short films that will appear on the festival circuit in 2018-19, two of which have been awarded the National Board of Review 2018 Student Grant Award.
